Three kinds of puzzle
Language-free puzzles that tap visual, numerical and spatial reasoning.
- Matrices Each grid follows a pattern along its rows. Look at how the shapes change from left to right, then pick the figure that completes the last row. Play matrices →
- Number series Each row of numbers follows a rule. Work out the rule and pick the number that comes next. Play number series →
- Rotation Find the option that is the same shape as the target, only turned. Mirror images and changed shapes do not count. Play rotation →
Free means free
Many "free" IQ tests lock the result behind a payment or a subscription trial. Here the full result, the review and the explanations are free, and the site is paid for by ads instead.
Why other tests ask for paymentQuestions people ask
Is this IQ test really free?
Yes. You see the full result instantly with no email, account or payment. The site is funded by ads.
How long does it take?
The quick test has 16 questions and a 12-minute limit. The full test has 32 questions and 25 minutes, and you can extend a quick test into the full one without starting again.
What kind of questions are there?
Matrix puzzles, number series and mental rotation. They need no language or general knowledge, and each part starts with an unscored practice puzzle.
Why do I get a range instead of one number?
A short test cannot pin a score down precisely. The range shows the estimate together with its margin of error, which is more honest than a single number.
Is this a clinical IQ assessment?
No. It is an entertainment estimate based on these questions and on other people who took this test, not a clinical assessment.
Do you store my answers?
Your progress and result stay on your device. When you finish, an anonymous record of which puzzles were right or wrong is sent to calibrate difficulty, with no name, email, IP address or identifier.
