Privacy policy
Updated October 9, 2026
Short version: we do not collect personal data. No names, no email addresses, no accounts, no stored IP addresses. Your progress and result are kept on your own device. Ads are provided by Google, which may use cookies subject to your consent.
Who runs this site
This site is operated by PlayIQTest (“we”). You can contact us at contact@playiqtest.com.
What stays on your device
The test uses your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to us:
- your progress in a test, so a refresh does not lose your answers,
- your latest result, so the result page can show it,
- a list of puzzle IDs you have already seen, so the next attempt uses fresh puzzles,
- a count of finished attempts, to label repeat attempts as practice-affected,
- your best Play rounds (score, stars and time per level and puzzle type), to show your stars.
You can delete all of it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Anonymous test data
When you finish a test, the site sends a small anonymous record to our server, which we use to measure how hard each puzzle really is and to improve the norms:
- the test form (quick or full), the language, the device type (phone, tablet or desktop),
- whether this is the first or a later attempt in this browser,
- the total time, and for each puzzle its ID, whether the answer was right, and how long it took,
- the versions of the puzzle bank and the norms, and the date.
This record does not contain your IP address, browser details, cookies or any identifier, and we cannot link it to you. If sending it fails, the site works exactly the same.
We also keep anonymous daily counts: how many tests are started and finished, how many results are shared, and how many Play rounds are started and finished, by language and by test form or Play level. They contain nothing else. Play rounds are never sent in detail.
Advertising
The site is funded by ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them, based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), Google’s consent message asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the link in that message. Learn more in Google’s advertising policies.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not track you across sites.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not store that data.
Children
The site is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from younger users, and we do not ask for age, name or email anywhere.
Your rights and questions
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access or delete on our side. Your device data can be cleared by you at any time. If you have any question about privacy, write to contact@playiqtest.com and we will answer.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
